Ventilators > Natural Ventilation
Smoke Ventilation > Mechanical Smoke Extract Roof Ventilator
Rated as approved Smoke Extract / Fire ventilator, at 300 Deg C for 1 hour. Special
units available with volumes up to 27.8cu.m.s. Standard unit fitted with butterfly
dampers, available with magnetic locks to eliminate flapping in windy conditions.
Available with external maintenance switch. Typical Applications: Smoke extract
for Industrial Buildings, Commercial Buildings and Shopping Centre Malls. Also
suitable for daily ventilation.
Smoke Ventilation > Mechanical Smoke Extract Wall Ventilator
Specification generally as for ADV-B Roof Ventilator Typical Applications: As
for ADV-B unit but used where wall mounting rather than roof mounting is required.
Also used extensively for Car park extract systems. Also suitable for daily
ventilation.
Smoke Ventilation > Twin Flap Roof Ventilator with Sloping Flap Panels
Rated as an approved Smoke Extract / Fire Ventilator. This unit is identical
to the NKVD-PF unit except that the top flaps are sloping. This improves water
shedding and prevents water pooling when installed on Flat roof constructions.
Typical applications: As for the NKVD-PS but specified where high rainfall
is expected or where the ventilator is on a flat roof with glazed insert panels,
to improve drainage and minimise build up of deposits on the glass. Also suitable
for daily ventilation.
Smoke Ventilation > Twin Flap Flat Profile Roof Ventilator
Rated as an approved Smoke Extract / Fire Ventilator. A high capacity smoke extract
ventilator with two flaps each operated by a linear pneumatic or electric actuator.
Available with a range of solid or glazed panel inserts to provide very high
levels of insulation or sealing when required. Bases are available in single
skin aluminium, insulated construction or thermally broken and insulated construction.
Typical Applications: Generally specified for use on built up and cladded roof
constructions where they are mounted on a suitable builders work up-stand.
The units provide a large free ventilation area to minimise the total number
required. Glazed units are not normally specified on flat roofs or where the
roof slope is less than 5 degrees as inadequate drainage causes mould build
up over
time. Also suitable for daily ventilation and special purpose applications.
Smoke Ventilation > Casement Window Ventilator
Rated as an approved Smoke Extract / Fire Ventilator. A modular operable window
unit available with solid aluminium single skin or insulated infill panels
or a variety of glazed panels. Mounted in a frame that can be thermally insulated
or broken as required. Operation may be by direct acting linear pneumatic or
electric actuators or with chain actuators where actuator penetration into
the space below is
undesirable. Typical Applications: Suitable for building into Patent Glazing
Systems where flanges can be manufactured to match the glazed panel the ventilator
is to replace. Also suitable for wall mounting and for integration into Curtain
Wall Systems. Used extensively on glazed Atria and high quality Architectural
buildings. Also suitable for daily ventilation.
Smoke Ventilation > Twin Flap Roof Ventilator with Weathered Side Ventilation
Rated as an approved Smoke Extract / Fire Ventilator. This unit is identical
to the NKVD-PS unit but has additional side wing ventilators that can provide
continuous ventilation in rainfall conditions. Typical applications: Used where
smoke / fire ventilation plus continuous daily ventilation regardless of weather
conditions is required. The side ventilators
can be open or fitted with operable dampers.
Smoke Ventilation > Domelight, Ventlight and Smokelight, Operable Lightdomes
A range of low cost units designed to fulfil the needs of the building
industry. The Domelight is a fixed closed unit intended for daylight transmission
only. The Ventlight is similar but has an opening top panel that can be fitted
with a pneumatic or electric actuator to open and close for daily ventilation
purposes. The Smokelight is an approved Smoke Extract / Fire Ventilator. It
is at present only available with pneumatic actuation.
Smoke Ventilation > AOV Door
The AOV range is uniquely bottom hinged providing substantial cost savings, with the easy install and maintenance features such as the Easy Access Panel, allowing access to the wiring and electronics from the corridor.
